Opening hours: every day 11:00 – 18:00
Summer in Sirdal is delightful! If you love the great outdoors, there is a huge range of activities for you, no matter what your age. Sirdal is also a perfect base for excursions to Lysefjorden, Kjerag and Setesdal.
The chairlift in Tjørhomfjellet is an easy way to get to the top, and it stays open in summer. From the summit, you can enjoy magnificent views over the Sirdalsheiene hills. The protected SVR nature reserve is only a stone’s throw from the top of Tjørhomfjellet. This is home to the southernmost population of wild reindeer in Europe. You can take the lift up and down, hike down from the summit on paths or gravel tracks, or even just cycle back down on our family-friendly cycle trail. It doesn’t cost any extra to take your mountain bike up with the lift.
You can also fish and swim in the Tjørhomfjellet area. Beinesvatnet lake is always teeming with fish! In summer 2014, work will begin on a playground next to the lake.
