Here you will find answers to questions we often get. Read through them and see if you can find the answer here or elsewhere on our website before sending us an email or contacting us by phone.

Are you open?

Tjørhomfjellet is open daily from 09.00-16.00 (the chairlift closes from 15:30 until 1 February). Ålsheia is open on weekends and holidays from 09:30 to 16:00. In addition, there is night skiing in Ålsheia Wed-Sat 17.00-21.00 until middle of March.

The opening of additional lifts and slopes will happen when there is enough snow. This will be announced on Facebook and Instagram.

What’s the weather like?

We use yr.no when we tell you what the weather will be like. You can easily check this yourself. Check HERE for Tjørhomfjellet and HERE for Ålsheia. If the weather affects opening or similar, we will post about the morning update on social media around 8 a.m.

When do Nyestøl and the park in Ålsheia open?

Both in Nyestøl, and several other slopes we depend on natural snow. That means that in order to open these areas we depend on a lot of snow. When the operational team considers it safe to drive the snow groomer on the various slopes, they’ll do their best to open the slopes. Opening will be announced on sosial media.

The park in Ålsheia opens as soon as more slopes opens. This will be announced on social media.

Are you sold out for lift passes?

If it says that the availability is 0 in our webshop, it means we are sold out of lift passes for the day in question. Some days there will be done an evaluation around 1-2 p.m. whether we will add more afternoon cards. This depends on the capacity of that spesific day. Check our webshop HERE

Do you still sell a limited amount of tickets each day?

Yes, we do. This is no longer due to corona, but we do have a maximum capacity of guests in our facility due to its size (lifts and slopes). This is to ensure a good experience for those who have paid for lift passes. With a limited amount of sold lift passes you avoid long queues and guests can enjoy the day skiing.

I need a companion / carer.

If you need a companion/carer, buy a card for yourself at the desired date. The companion/carer sends us an email to post@sirdalskisenter.no with a copy or photo of the companion/carer certificate. We will then send a promo code that can be used to book a lift pass with discounted prices for companion/carer.

Can I buy a season pass?

Where can I go sledding?

It is not permitted to use sledges in any of our facilities. Read more about where to sled in Sirdal HERE

Can I book online before I get here?

All ski passes, ski rental, ski school, ski service etc. must be booked online. This can be done after arrival, but at the risk of it being sold out. If it’s not available in the webshop, it means we are sold out.

Ski school and ski service are via the same link as for ski rental, but under the corresponding tabs.

Where do I pick up the ticket I have booked?

Our pick-up machines can be found outside the restaurant in Hulderheimen, outside the ski rental by the chairlift and outside the cafe at Ålsheia. Scan the QR code sent to you by e-mail and you will receive the cards from machine. If you pre filled cards using a WTP code you can go straight to the lift gates.

Do you sell clip/point/single trip cards?

No, we don’t sell clip/point/single trip cards. Read about the card types we offer HERE

Can I change my card to a different date?

If you notify us within 10 days before using the card, we can move the date. Send an email to post@sirdalskisenter with your product receipt, date of card, number of cards and what type of card, and we will send over promo codes so you can rebook for a new day.

How do I book accommodation?

Accommodation is booked HERE.

How do I use lift passes I have booked via accommodation?

The lift passes will be located in the rooms so they are ready upon arrival. Please note that when booking accommodation, the lift pass will be valid for the day after check-in.

For instance:

If you book an apartment from Saturday to Sunday, the lift pass will be available for Sunday.

If you book an apartment from Friday to Saturday, the lift pass will be available for Saturday.

I left the chip card I charged with a ticket at home

We can move your ticket to another chip card!

Bring the product receipt to the ski rental in Tjørhomfjellet and we will fix it there. It you don’t have an extra chipcard, you can buy a new one for 70,-.

The price of replacing a lost or forgotten season pass is 250,-. Contact the ski rental by the chairlift.

Do I need a lift pass for children under 7 years old?

Do I have to pay to use the magic carpet in Ålsheia or the rope in Hulderheimen?

No, you don’t have to. Read more about our children’s areas HERE

Do you offer student discount?

No, we do not offer any student discount for the time being.

Is there any public transportation from Stavanger to Sirdal?

Boreal offers a ski bus to and from Sirdal on weekends and holidays. Read more about ski bus HERE

Can I book a table at the restaurant, Sirdal Lodge?

Of course you can do that! Tables can easily be booked on the Facebook page for Sirdal Lodge, HERE
