If you are fishing with small children we can reccomend these areas;
Sinnes and the area around
If you have small children we can recommend to take the trip to Sinnesvatnet where you find a small sand beach right by the bridge up to Ålsheia. The fish isn’t big but there are many.
Tonstad and the area around
If you are fishing in Tonstad we recommend to try in Bjønnhol. Bjønnhøl is about 1 km from the industry area in Tonstad and you find a small road that fits 1 car when you follow fv 468 north from Tonstad centre. Here you can park and walk a short distance north on the right side of the road. At the right side of the crash barriers is a trail that you follow down until you arrive at a sand beach. This is a prefect spot for fishing and setting up a small barbecue. Remember to clean up and leave the area as you found it.
At Tonstad it’s possible to fish from the beach. If you come from the south, you drive north on fv. 468 towards Sinnes before you take off with the sports stadion and Sirdal Kulturhus. Here you can park and walk towards the river that is right behind the football course.
