Tall mountains and deep valleys surround Sirdal. The nature is diverse and full of surprises. The possibilities are many when you travel to Sirdal. You can hike in some of the many marked trails or choose your own routes. We always recommend carrying a map and compass, which can be acquired at the local store. In Sirdal you can find everything from big cairn’s to airplane remains from world war II, and old mines. If you are lucky you will spot some of the wildlife in the valley, such as grouse, moose, beaver, reindeer and many other species.
When staying overnight you can use one of the cabins of Stavanger Turistforening or Statskog.
