Tall mountains and deep valleys surrounds Sirdal. The nature is diverse and full of surprises. The possibilities are many when you trave in Sirdal by hiking. You can walk in some of the many marked trails or walk by choosing your own routes. we always recommend carrying map and compass, easily aquired at the local store. In sirdal you can find big cairn’s, airplane remains from world war II and old mines. If you are lucky you wil spot some of the wildlife, such as grouse, moose, beaver, reindeer and many other species.
When staying overnight you can use one of the cabins of Stavanger Turistforening or Statskog.
